Abstrak	Upon entrance to a new educational institution, transfer students battle with many struggles, resulting in the creation of learning communities to provide these students with the necessary skillset to navigate the challenges of integration into a new university or college. This articles purpose is to assess how effective these learning communities are in assisting transfer students through this exploratory and descriptive cross-sectional study. Following a thorugh analysis of the data collected from a sample of the University of North Carolina at Charlotts (UNCCs) Criminal Justice Learning Community (CJLC) participants and non-participants, or criminal justice students in UNCCs criminal justice undergraduate program not enrolled in the LC, over a ten-year period, this article displays some of the descriptive, demographic, academic, and social results.
